Anna Marek is a sound designer and audio engineer that will graduate from the University of Chicago Illinois (UIC) in May of 2024 with an overarching BA in Design, Production, and Technology, Anna has focused on sound design and live audio production. They have recently been the sound designer for the show Not About Nightingales directed by Eddie Torres at UIC. Anna Marek has recently won the Michael Merritt student Award for Collaborative Design and Tech. For the past 1 ½ years Anna has been working at the Chicago Cultural Center as an A/V Technician, honing their skills while working with clients from corporations, to artists, to filmmakers. Along with sound design and live audio production, they like to continue their art through other mediums including concert photography, painting and DJing.
